About the title
Artem Belov is 15 years old — the age when just yesterday you were a child, but today you're no longer a child, though not yet an adult either. It is in this last summer of childhood that everything hits Artem at once: his father's betrayal, first love who has eyes for someone else, friendship forever and a falling-out forever too. Artem has one firm anchor, one outlet left — the "roller board." That's what skateboards, which Soviet teenagers were just beginning to discover, were called in the 1980s. And Artem must win the dangerous street competition no matter what.
