About the title
Paul Graff grows up surrounded by a loving family — his mom, dad, and grandfather. Paul dreams of becoming an artist and is friends with an African-American boy named Johnny, with whom he smokes in the restroom. Worried about the boy's future, his parents transfer him to a prestigious school, but Paul doesn't agree with the future his parents are planning for him.
