About the title
A film based on the true story of Mildred Gillars, who, after graduating from a drama school in Ohio, went to Europe in search of fame, began working for Radio Berlin, and under the pseudonym Axis Sally became the voice of German propaganda during World War II. After her arrest and extradition back to the US, she stood trial on charges of treason.
