About the title
In the spring of 1912, young Viennese painter Oskar Kokoschka meets the recently widowed Alma Mahler, a socialite widely known in Viennese society circles. The stormy romance between Alma and Oskar becomes a source of inspiration for the brilliant painter, who would later become one of the leading figures of Austrian Expressionism. However, their uncontrollable attraction to one another soon begins to destroy their world and threatens the existence of both.
