About the title
When her friends invite Alice to leave town for a few days to celebrate a birthday, she hesitates — first she needs to get permission from her boyfriend Simon. Sensing Alice's constant tension, fear, and doubt, her friends try to open her eyes to the fact that her relationship isn't normal, and that what she feels isn't love. Alice begins to break free of her dependency. But deep down, she knows Simon won't let this go so easily.
