About the title
Eleven-year-old Alexander Garcia, who considers himself the unluckiest person in the world because of constant misfortunes, reluctantly agrees to travel to Mexico City with his family in a luxurious camper van. From the very first minutes, the trip takes a hilariously absurd turn, further convincing the boy of his extreme bad luck. It soon becomes clear that the culprit behind all the troubles is an ancient cursed idol inherited from his great-grandfather, so the family must do everything possible to get rid of it.
