About the title
The film's characters are members of several generations of one family who have lived for many decades in the Catalan village of Alcarràs, working the land and earning their living by selling fruit. They suddenly learn that the land does not belong to them, since there is no contract, and that all the peach trees on their plot are set to be cut down to make way for solar panels. The elders try to find a way out, while the younger generation enjoys the summer.
