About the title
A fashionable actress and a young scientist find themselves alone in an emptied Moscow. They have little in common, but there's no choice - they must go together in search of other people. One morning, Marina went outside and realized there wasn't a soul around. It seems humanity has simply vanished. Except, that is, for one more lucky survivor - researcher Viktor, who had come to Moscow for a conference. The two loners don't want to follow genre conventions and rebuild civilization. Instead, they split the city in half and agree not to cross the border. It doesn't work out too well. Especially after Viktor picks up a signal from other survivors. Reluctantly joining forces, the unusual pair sets off on a great journey in search of salvation and, perhaps, love.
