About the title
After wishing his wife and daughter a good morning, happy family man Preston Avery will, by that same afternoon, be reduced to a numb shadow of himself. An accident will split his life into before and after. Unable to stay in a house where everything is a reminder of loss, the man gets on his motorcycle and sets off to rack up miles across California, searching for the answer to the only question that matters now: how and why to go on living.
