About the title
The protagonist works at an agency that makes greeting cards. He comes up with all those funny captions we read on them. The young man falls in love with his colleague and decides she's "the one." But the 500 days of their relationship show him that the road to happiness is unpredictable, uncontrollable, and incredibly funny!
