About the title
American journalist Ruth, who has long dreamed of visiting her parents' homeland, invites her father to make the journey home. The father does everything he can to sabotage the trip, joking his way through it and creating a host of comic situations along the way. Meanwhile, Ruth tries to make sense of the past and understand herself and her family.
