About the title
According to the Mayan calendar, in 2012 the planets of the solar system will align with one another, triggering global natural catastrophes: the most powerful earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions will reduce countries and entire continents to ruins. Scientists have recently confirmed that this myth could become reality. Following a solar flare, the Earth's core begins to heat up — catastrophes the world has never seen are coming. World governments are secretly developing an escape plan, but only a small fraction of the planet's population will be among the chosen. Everyone else will have to accept their fate, or fight to the end to save themselves and their families — as writer Jackson will have to do, after learning by chance that the end of the world is near.
