About the title
The story unfolds in Chile in 1976 and introduces viewers to an older woman named Carmen, who is busy renovating a beach house so she can spend the winter holidays there with her large family. When a priest she knows asks for her help in temporarily sheltering a young man who is on the run, she cannot refuse, unaware of the consequences.
