About the title
Famous horror novelist Mike Enslin is writing another book about unusual phenomena and poltergeists in hotels. Not believing in the existence of an afterlife, Enslin decides to stay in the infamous room 1408 of the Dolphin Hotel, which has stood empty for years and is rumored to be haunted. Despite the hotel manager's warning, the stubborn writer insists on having his way, with no idea what a nightmare the coming night will turn out to be.
