About the title
Khoja Nasreddin, troublemaker and folk hero, travels through the centuries. Emirs and khans of many countries and eras sentence him to death, but he remains alive, for Khoja Nasreddin is immortal. Finally, Khoja Nasreddin ends up in the twentieth century, where new adventures await him. He takes part in a dispute about the historicity of Khoja Nasreddin's existence, ends up in a madhouse because no one believes he was born in 1248, helps "overthrow" an emir during the filming of a feature film, and ends up in a state farm named after Khoja Nasreddin, where he meets real Soviet bais and bureaucrats.
