About the title
12 jurors must decide whether an 18-year-old youth accused of murdering his stepfather — a Russian Army officer who fought in Chechnya — is guilty. All the evidence points against the defendant, and eleven of the twelve people gathered in the school gymnasium are ready to convict the young man. But one of the jurors is convinced that things are not as clear-cut as they seem at first glance, and suggests examining the case more carefully.
